Bio

Professor David Nutt is the Edmond J Safra chair in Neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College, London where he researches drugs that affect the brain and conditions such as addiction, sleep and anxiety. He is famously known as the man fired by the Labour government for suggesting that horse riding is statistically more dangerous than taking MDMA. He joined at the Secret Garden Party 2013 to host a table at our Neuropharmacological Canapes, where he dissected jelly brains as he conversed with our guests about the brain, drugs, addiction – and the truth.
