Psychologist Fran Meeten is a research fellow at the University of Sussex. We explored the evolution of disgust with her at Bestival and the Secret Garden Party where she hosted the Disgust Challenge, daring willing punters to eat dog food, put maggots in their mouths and cuddle tarantulas. The sight of unlucky punters gagging on larvae was such a smash hit, she came back to the SGP for an encore.
