Jamie Perera is a composer who uses sound in meaningful ways. He has made music from maths with Marcus Du Sautoy, generated a sonic “elephant in the room” to highlight data privacy issues, sonified climate change for the Serpentine, and created a soundtrack out of guns for Amnesty. His passion is challenging the conventions between music and sound, and investigating ideas with varied collaborators. Jamie collaborated with us on The Appointment installation at Open Senses festival, and Escape to Reality installation at FutureFest, which explored perceptions of conscious reality.
