Mona Jain

Mona Jain is a practicing psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in New York City. As a member of the International Psychoanalytical Association Committee to the U.N. and consultant to the Legal Aid Society, her research looks at the psychic impact of geographical exclusion.  As faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College, she teaches social psychiatry. Most recently, she contributed an essay on Simone de Beauvoir to “Status of Women: Violence, Identity and Activism” (Karnac Books).
