MzTEK is a non-profit organisation with the aim of addressing the imbalance of women artists working in the fields of new media, computer arts, and technology. In 2012 we collaborated on a project called the Hacked Human Orchestra. With conductive fabric and soft circuitry, festival punters turned their t-shirts into synthesizers, screechers and recorders, and were then treated to a personalized session with composer Florian Tanant. We worked together again in 2013 with a ‘Merkins & Gherkins’ workshop at the Secret Garden Party, where participants were taught how to make an electronic muff as part of a sex-themed electronics workshop.
