Guerilla Science

Citadel Festival 2019

Sunday 14th July , Gunnersbury Park, London

On Sunday 14th July we’re returning to Citadel Festival to takeover the Science Camp with yet another astronomical programme!

A celebration of the perfect sunny Sunday, Citadel Festival offers up an impressive selection of music, arts, culture and sports in the beautiful setting of West London’s Gunnersbury Park. This July, we’ll be returning to the festival to take over the Science Camp again with three cosmic  experiences in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landings.

So step aboard the Guerilla Science Galactica and prepare for a life amongst the stars.

Cosmic Lunchbox

Take your taste buds on an intergalactic trip to discover what humans might eat if we lived space. The journey starts on-board Guerilla Science Galactica – we’re heading into space, what can we eat on the way? Collect a lunch bag to discover how food is designed for space travel, how to munch on floating ingredients and the struggles of growing plants in space.

Space Yoga – in association with the UK Space Agency

Space yoga is a class with a cosmic twist, hosted by a qualified yoga instructor and a space scientist. Prepare for your own solo mission to space through a series of exercises that mimic the effects of microgravity on the body and mind.

Q&A with Andrew Kuh from the UK Space Agency

Take part in a 15 minute Q&A session between Andrew and a Guerilla Science Host, to  delve into the day-to-day life of Andrew at the UK Space Agency, and cover cosmic topics such as commercial space flights, UK satellite launch sites and human spaceflight to Mars.

Space Pub Quiz

Space Quiz Maestro leads guests in teams through quick fire questions to uncover weird and wonderful facts about space. Winners and booby prizes up for grabs.
