Sensory Speed Dating
25 September 2017, Queen of Hoxton, London
Londoners left their inhibitions at the door, put on blindfolds and used their senses to discover the science behind attraction.
This Autumn we launched a three month Superculture residency with Mothership Group in London, starting with our ever popular Sensory Speed Dating at the Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch. London singles joined us for a series of sensational sexy challenges based on cutting-edge research in neuroscience, genetics and psychology.
Sensory Speed Dating is no ordinary speed dating event – comprising seductive experiments and unexpected connections, the audience are challenged to spice up their love life with science! They discover what the smell of sweat tells us about a prospective partner, how eating raw kale transforms our capacity for flirtation, and why looking into each other’s eyes can be so sexy.
This edition was hosted by writer, presenter and comedian Timandra Harkness (resident reporter on Radio 4’s social psychology The Human Zoo), and Carmen Lefevre, Associate Consultant of UCL’s Centre for Behaviour Change.
