Maths Fest
Interactive performances to celebrate the power of numbers for the National Math Festival, Washington D.C.
Guerilla Science was commissioned by the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute to bring a lively set of interactive performances to the National Math Festival in Washington, D.C. We created two interactive exhibitions for the festival. A boisterous game show called โCash Prizes for Everyone!โ challenged participants with a variety of amusing competitions, and the Oobleck Olympics, a high-energy obstacle course, left participants breathless and laughing hysterically.

โThere is nothing quite like large-scale, participatory performance art and theater to really get the attention of crowds, and shake up their assumptions — about math, about science, about the way the world works, about what’s fun about math, and so on.
It was a joy to see Oobleck Olympics drawing crowds all day — and to watch Cash Prizes for Everyone! Both activities are winners, and we thank you for bringing your distinctive flair to the Festival once again.โ
