Neuroscientist Adrian Owen studies consciousness: in 2010 he made medical history when he demonstrated that many patients in so-called vegetative states are actually conscious. Adrian lectured on consciousness at the Secret Garden Party in 2010, on memory techniques at Latitude in 2009, and you can check him out in our short film about the Sensecam here. Previously at the MRC Brain Sciences Unit at the University of Cambridge, Adrian moved in 2011 to take a position as a Canada Excellence Research Chair in Cognitive Neuroscience and Imaging at The University of Western Ontario.
