Shoreditch Sisters

The Shoreditch Sisters are a branch of the Women’s Institute – “the original social network”, founded nationally in 1915 and locally in Shoreditch in 2007. They are not for profit, volunteer run and provide a friendly place for women to have fun, learn new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them. They lent us the immaculate Vulva Quilt – a co-creation with the Daughters of Eve – for The Curtains of Love, a giant theatrical shrine to the holiest of holies, part of our production of Brazil with the Secret Cinema.
